13 Going On 30

Welcome back to another movie recommendation for this weekend, today I present to you, 13 going on 30.

On May 26, 1987, Jenna Rink, a gawky girl, yearns to be popular, but the only way she can get the ruling clique the "Six Chicks", led by the unkind Lucy "Tom-Tom" Wyman to attend her upcoming 13th birthday party is by doing their homework. Jenna's best friend, the geeky boy Matty Flamhaff arrives early to the party to give her a bright pink, dream dollhouse that he built for her. He sprinkles his second gift, a packet of glittery "magic wishing dust", on its roof.

The Six Chicks soon show up with the cutest boys in class and make Jenna play "seven minutes in heaven". While Jenna waits, blindfolded, in a dark closet, thinking a popular boy she has a crush on is about to enter, the Six Chicks vanish with all the boys, half the food and Jenna's completed homework. It is Matt who walks into the closet, to Jenna's horror. She locks herself in the closet and cries, wishing to be 30; above her, the glittering wishing dust from the dollhouse gently rains down.

The next morning, Jenna awakens in a gleaming Fifth Avenue apartment. Jenna's dream has come true: It is now 2004, and Jenna, at first utterly baffled, particularly by the handsome hunk in her shower, realizes she has magically turned 30 overnight, with no idea of what happened in the intervening 17 years.

Jenna discovers that she works for Poise, her favorite fashion magazine. Tough-as-nails Lucy is her co-editor and best friend, but the magazine itself is in serious trouble, having been scooped by a rival magazine named Sparkle so often that the editor-in-chief believes someone inside Poise is tipping them off. Jenna, freaking out like the frightened teen she still is, wants only to find Matty. She gets his address and races down to Greenwich Village where the now-grown Matt is a struggling photographer. To her confusion, he is distant and cold, and cannot even fill Jenna in on much of her missing past, because she became head of the "Six now seven Chicks", and never spoke to Matt again. She even became Prom Queen and Lucy, her only friend, is actually the original "Tom-Tom" after plastic surgery.

From this moment Jenna tries to live her life normally as if she were really 30 years old, she tries to maintain her friendship with Matt and do a good job in the magazine, but certain events in the film complicate everything.

I highly recommend this movie, it has a very good ending, its soundtrack is very good, it's fun and maintains the essence of romantic comedy, don’t miss 13 Going on 30.

DESPICABLE ME.

                       

Hi welcome to another thursday post, and today is the time to talk about the movie "Despicable me" 

Gru, a supervillain, is disheartened when an unknown supervillain steals the Great Pyramid of Giza. Gru, with the assistance of his colleague Dr. Nefario and his Minions, resolves to one-up this mystery rival by shrinking and stealing the Moon. As it would be costly to steal the moon, Gru seeks a loan from the Bank of Evil. Bank president Mr. Perkins is impressed by the plan but will provide the money only if Gru can obtain the necessary shrink ray first. Upon learning that an up-and-coming villain named Vector was responsible for the pyramid theft, Gru starts a rivalry with him.

Gru and the Minions steal the shrink ray from a secret base in East Asia, but Vector intercepts them and steals it for himself. Gru attempts to break into Vector's fortress to recover the shrink ray but is defeated by numerous booby traps. However, he notices three orphan girls, Margo, Edith, and Agnes, who are able to easily walk into the base because they are selling cookies. Gru disguises himself and adopts the girls, planning on using them to infiltrate Vector's base so he can get the shrink ray back. However, Gru has trouble nurturing them properly due to their rambunctiousness, their ballet classes, and his own ineptitude as a parent.

Is a beautiful movie to watch with all your family, specially with kids, so I hope you like it.

THE PARENT TRAP

This is a movie based in true situations in a family in the 1900. It is a children movie released in 1998 directed by Nancy Meyers and starring by Lindsay Lohan and Produced by Walt Disney Company. 

The couple fell in love and they get married, then Nick and Liz separated and they get one girl each one. One of them raices in California and the other girl in London.

During the summer Nick and Liz coincedentally send their girls to the same Camp, at first sigth they dislike to one other. After a figth between them they were separated from the all group and they were talking and they discover that they were twins. Annie and Hallie plot to reunite Elizabeth and Nick by a lie telling Liz that Nick wants too see her in San Francisco but the grandfather knows the plan and they can help to their plan. 

When they arrive at San Francisco discover that other girl wants to married withh his father, and they began to figth with her. During a campament Meredith who was the girl was really rude with their daugthers and Nick discover how she was in the real face. He left her and then he discover that he had feelings for Liz, but it was time to go, so Liz and Annie return to London and when they arrived at their house Nick and Hallie were there and they married again and their daugthers were the braidmaids. 

That is how the family look at the end of the movie.

Central Intelligence

This is a comedy directed by Rawson Thurber, starring Dwayne Jhonson (Robbie Wheirdicht) and Kevin Hart (Calvin Joyner).

The plot begins with Robbie taking a shower at the school gymnasium, when some bullies went to find to play a bad joke on him. Meanwhile, there was a celebration event for the school prom, where Calvin was nominee as the student of the year. Everybody was excited celebrating when the bullies pushed a naked Robbie to the floor where was seen by every student present. Instead of laughing, Calvin gave him his jacket so he could cover himself, in that moment a friendship memory took place.

Years later Calvin became an accountant and married the woman of his dreams, but he did not feel so lucky as the class expected him to be, and the school reunion was close, when suddenly, he received a Facebook friendship request from Robbie. They met at a bar and found out the incredible change he had suffered; he went through being fat to a big badass muscle machine.

He became a CIA undercover agent and needed to find his ex-partner AKA “Black Badger”, that was trying to sell very compromising information to the best buyer. But Calvin did not figure it out until he was in the middle of crossed fire between the CIA and Robbie, that was thought a traitor.

They found the exchange location and shooting started almost immediately, until he had to decide who to trust, his former schoolmate or the guy that said he was the good cop. He shot his friend on the gluteus and the Badger began talking and talking. For his surprise Robbie stoop up and cut his throat to save the day.

Personally, I consider this movie as extremely hilarious, watch it fi you want to laugh and spend a nice time, .

The king's speech

Today we are going to talk about a movie based on the old real story of King George VI.

This story is all about the stammering of the King and the process in which he learned to speak clearly with the help of an Australian speech and language therapist, Lionel George Logue. They become friends through out this journey of preparing the King for his speech.

The main character of the story is forced to take control of the throne but due to his speech impediment, his wife, Elizabeth, hires Lionel to help him overcome his stammer. The therapist uses extraordinary and unconventional means to teach the monarch how to speak with confidence, because as a king he has to be able to talk to his people clearly and with confidence. 

At the end of the movie the King was able to make his first wartime radio broadcast on Britain´s declaration of war on Germany in 1939.

Love Actually

A comedy/love story is interesting in a movie, but what if, instead of just one, there are several that turn out to be linked to each other? Don't you think it's possible? Actually, it is, and it happens.
My menu for this weekend, it turns out to be varied with respect to stories and characters, because let's be honest, only one is not enough. Today I presnet to you, Love Actually.

The movie revolves around the personal relationships between different protagonists, and how they manage to overcome their difficulties in time for Christmas.

Billy Mack is a rock and roll singer who is releasing his Christmas single in the hopes that it will become the no.1 single. However, he begins to despair and takes out his problems by partying.

Juliet and Peter are a recently married couple. Peter’s best friend is Mark, who does not appear to get along with Juliet. Peter is also the camera man for their wedding so when Juliet stops by at his house one day to see the recording, she realizes that he only filmed her throughout, indicating that he harbors feelings for her, hence he always tries to avoid her.

Jamie has recently been cheated on by his girlfriend with his brother. He withdraws himself to France, where he meets Aurélia, a Portugese housekeeper. They develop feelings for each other despite not being able to communicate.

Harry and Karen are a highly successful, happily married couple with children. Harry employs a new secretary, Mia, who is much younger and begins to flirt with him. He likes the attention so much that he buys her a Christmas gift that she asks for, an expensive jewelry, which Karen discovers and assumes, is her present for Christmas. 

David is the new Prime Minister of the UK and Natalie is a member of his staff. He feels attracted to her and her to him. However, the President of the US comes on a visit and makes sexual advances towards Natalie. David then begins to think it is best if Natalie were removes from her position as she is a distraction to him.

Daniel's wife has recently died and he is attempting to raise his stepson Sam. Sam is in love with a classmate, Joanna, and Daniel urges him to tell her how he feels.

John and Judy are body doubles taking part in a sex scene for a film. However, they have a connection and end up pursuing a relationship off screen.

All these stories and others have a very fun and interesting development, and as I said before, yes, they intertwine with each other, but to find out how this is possible, I invite you to see it, if you have not done it yet, enjoy it and recommend it, I really liked this movie in particular, it's out of the ordinary.

Lilo & Stitch

                             

                           

Hi everyone, today I'm going to talk about the movie Lilo & Stithc, which is my favorite movie of all the time. This is a story of a little creature created by genetic experimentation and bound to prison with his evil creator. Stitch escapes and heads for Earth where he tries to impersonate a dog and gets adopted by little Lilo, whom, bent on self preservation, he plans to use as a human shield to protect him for the aliens sent to recapture him. But without a greater purpose in life, no friends, family or memories, Stitch does a little soul searching and begins to understand the meanings of "love" and "family" and his feeling for Lilo begin to change.

You can see this movie with your family, friends, boyfriend/girlfiend and even your niece or nephew, I´m pretty sure that if you see this movie, you will fall in love with all the characters that it have, specially the main characters.
