Hachiko

Do you ove dogs? If you do you should watch this movie.

It is all about a real- life story of pure bred Japanese Akita dog named Hachiko was born in Odate, Japan in 1932; hie was adopted by Eizaburo Ueno (Richard Gere in the movie) when he found the dog lost in the street. Since he ended up taking the puppy home, they became best friends.

As Hachiko grew older, it became a daily routine to join his owner to the Train station every morning and then pick up him at the same place in the afternoon when he returned from work. On May 21, 1925, Hachiko was waiting his owner at the stato as he usually did, but Eizaburo never came back. Sadly he died suddenly by a cerebral hemorrage at work.

This is the best part of the story: Hachiko kept waiting his beloved owner at the same hour and at the same place for the rest 10 years of his life...

A japanesse newspapper reported this story in 1932 and published it and the film was published in 2009.

Hachi, which was his nickname, became the most famous dog in Japan. Can you imagine he has a statue? It is next to Shibuya Train Station in Tokyo.
