Welcome to another great monday in which we talk about: movies based on real stories. Today we will be talking about "The pianist".
This movie, in general context, is situated
particularly in a time referring to the Second World War, when Nazism and
racial hate to Jewish were expanding themselves through Europe, causing the
so-called Holocaust. In the middle of these critical situations of that age, the
plot is centered in the life of a Polish young pianist, who was born in Poland,
Jewish by birth, which was a problem to Germans. That is the reason why he fled
from his home, leaved his family and abandon his beloved profession as a pianist;
to survive he must hide behind the debris caused by the war itself.
For me, what I like the most about this movie is that
the story behind the scenes is real, and despite of the difficult situations
that the character has to face, the movie tells a story full of hope and love
for good music of an excellent pianist.
You
definitely have to whatch it because you´ll learn a lot about the history of
the conflict that occurred in World War II; also it is
also possible that the film makes you want to cry, and always take
into account that it was a real story of a great pianist of that age.
