Well this movie is based on the real Romanian Olympic medalist Nadia Comaneci. Winning the Olympics is a great thing, but Nadia did more than just winning a gold medal, she did something no gymnast had achieved before.

Nadia was born on 1961 in Romania, she started to get involved in gymnastics when she was 6 years old. In this movie you can see how good she was at gymnastics and began to stand out since her childhood. Years later she was discovered by Belya Karolyi, a Romanian-American gymnastic coach.

• But what did she do to become so famous?

In 1976 in Montreal Olympics she was the first gymnastic to obtain a perfect 10´s (which was once thought to be unattainable). She also won five Olympic medals in total. by the way, she was 15 years old ...
